1. Would like to bring my POP email into Zoho. Outlook plugin will not work for us - we are a Mac shop and do not have Outlook.

2. Would like to have more flexibility in creating and designing the tabs within the account. I have been renaming and re-creating the tabs to best suit our company. It would be nice to add additional tabs, and be able to determine and build out what modules or features to collect on each.

3. Ability to link other Zoho products into each other. I would love for us to use Zoho Project, but we can't unless it can be integrated into CRM.

I would like to remove items that don't pertain to my industry in area's like products and to be able to add products from within a pricebook.
I wold like an API to Norvax, (essential for health insurance) to get leads from one to the other, and a general API to get my lead sources to direct enter data into ZohoCRM.
I would to be able to have leads show up in contacts yes / no.
I would like to be able to create related contacts when I'm using the Account Tab.

I'd also like to mention that the API can't come soon enough. ZohoCRM could be extremely powerful with the addition of a well implemented API.

I'm eagerly awaiting the release of the API to hopefully be able to link ZohoCRM with my shopping cart API (ProductCart) as well as the iContact API (for newsletter management/marketing campaigns).

I'd also like to advocate for more powerful backup/export options. As it is now, we're forced to pay a fee, wait for our data to be made available for download, and then the only way we can download it is in individual CSV files? I personally don't see this as acceptable.

I'm hoping that maybe the API will address this by allowing those with the time and inclination to implement their own solution to pull data out in more sophisticated and meaningful ways.

I would love to see integration with Mac apps -- Address Book, iCal, and Mail.

Also, please allow for customization (or different base setup versions) for different business types. I'm a consultant, so the product-based fields are useless to me. It would be good if you could enable time-based (per hour) quoting and invoicing rather than per-item based like it is now.

I think you need to get the email part sorted - the outgoing is great - but it really needs to interogate mailboxes to check if there are any emails - new or old for contacts to associate with a record.

Setting up an incoming support email address on my server that Zoho integregates and downloads emails from would be fantastic - just as your web-lead, web-contact and web-case are great.

Calendar integration - we do not use your calendar because it doesn't sync with anything - (if we used Outlook this would be different - but we don't). Can you allow easy calendar sync - via outgoing feeds and incoming feeds from other calendars etc - this would be a great improvement. Ultimately I want to get the stuff from my work calendar and Zoho onto my mobile phone - I currently can only sync my work calendar!

Keep up the great work - stop working on all those other projects - CRM is the best and the one that will bring you some great money - I have advocated it to more than 20 companies and 4 of those are now using it - but they do complain about email and calendar also!

Mobile component that would allow for creation of quotes and invoices and then printing via IR port to a mobile printer.

Ability to directly convert a quote to an invoice.

Hi there, I am new to Zoho and really see great potential here. One feature that is critical to my business and found in most CRM's is the ability to link items (events, notes, leads) to multiple contacts. I see that Zoho allows you to link an event to 1 contact, but I have not seen how to link multiple people. If I overlooked it, I apologize. If not, this is really important and an absolute must for many sales people!! <br> <br>I also agree with many of the posts above when it comes to having the email, calendar and mobility sync abilitys work flawlessly. <br> <br>Keep up the great work Zoho!!!

Need the ability to have the contact name and company name to pre-populate when selecting the 'Save and New' button when completing a task. <br><br>Right now, if you complete a task and want to 'Save and New' to create a follow up task, the contact name and account name do not show up in the new task form. This has caused NUMEROUS issues for my staff - we now have many tasks created, and not attached to any contact or account. We are all old Salesforce.com users, and this is a habit that is hard to break. It seems to be an intuitive way to do things.. this would be a great feature to add to your next update.

First off well done on producing such a fantastic tool! I've found the most off-putting thing is trying to decipher some of the terminology - I'm not clear on what is meant by some of the basic terms used - for example what is the difference between: Events, Activities, Tasks?

I'd love to see a glossary of the key concepts - I've spent ages wandering the Wikki trying to nail some of these basics to no avail - consequently I'm that I'm playing with the system rather than being productive!

I know that I'll really benefit from persevering on the learning curve...but so far it's more pain than gain!

Apart from that, good product, Purchase Order css needs to be looked at as well, there's something wrong with it. Print Preview looks great, but when it goes to pdf, it squashes everything together

Yes. You may goto Setup --> Invoice Settings --> Fields List and create a new custom field with Auto Number type and provide the starting number that you wish. Once its done, goto Setup --> Invoice Settings --> Edit Page Layout and move the default Invoice number to the Available Field List and position the new field that you created for numbering the invoice number.

We would like to be able to manage our inventory by country as we have several warehouses accross Asia.

Right now we added a "country" field to each product, which is not ideal as it actually duplicates the same product. Also if we want to make a PO of a product, several identical products are shown since the country is not shown in the selection window... Can you please change that for now?

Hi, a few more things:

1. As we are a trading company, it would be great to be able to convert Leads (that came in from the web-to-lead form) into Suppliers (Our Principle) as well, not only into Accounts.

2. Can you also make a Delivery Order Template? Or even a DO module that will be linked to the invoices module perhaps?

3. Is there any way to have multi-currency capabilty? Because for instance, we buy a product in EUR and resell it in SGD.... That's quite important.

And finally can someone explain me the difference between Unit Price and List Price?

I am working with the Workflow, and I would like to see the ability to support a dynamic "fax-on-demand" kind of option. Specifically, I only need the ability to create an email address like this:


${Potentials.Fax}@faxservercompany.com


Currently, the Workflow Alerts section to add a recipient email will not accept the "${Potentials.Fax}" portion of the email string as a valid email address.


Why? As my sales team is updating the contact information, and someone indicates that they would like additional information faxed to them, I want the workflow to notify the next level of sales management AND for the fax to be sent to the client using our Internet-based fax service. The phone number that the agent was given is logged in ZOHO CRM in the field "${Potentials.Fax}".

I would like to be able to sort views or lists alphabetically. For instance leads and contacts. I am not sure what the default sort order is but its no alpha and that makes the look up really hard. Also the default view when I search a lead shows the lead name on the far right. It should be the first field in the view and there does not seem to be any way to modify that view. I use Remember The Milk a lot and it has that feature as well. Just send a quick email and boom, it's in my task list. We have had to leave ZohoCRM because of a lack of API - this is a real shame - we have had to invest a lot of time in moving data and setting up a replacement (SugarCRM) and if we could have had our other systems integrate with the CRM all of this could have been avoided.

When you implement it - we will find it hard to justify moving back - the changes to all of the integration systems, the lower control we have on the server and the payments needed to send emails - now are a barrier to a switch.

2. CRITICAL (to us) - Allow the display of NOTES for a CONTACT or LEAD with the CREATED field, NOT the UPDATED field. We care when the original conversation happened, since we use the notes to document phone calls. The original date is what we need, not when someone adds some later points to the note.

Where is the incoming mail client? This is the most important feature that you need to make this the winning solution. If I could check POP or IMAP accounts with ZOHO we would all switch. The outlook plugin is a nice novelty but isnt outlook really anothe CRM? Why would I want to sync calendars and such from outlook to zoho? I want to do all of this in ZOHO but our business (like every other business) runs on emails. Please implement this funtionality ASAP. Make it POP and IMAP. Just a basic mail reader is fine where we can input our settings for pop or imap mail. This should work for MAC as well.

Field Mapping from module to module.

Like everyone else using Zoho, we have a specific need for our business.

Your flexibility is awesome EXCEPT, we end up re-entering data all over the system. If we could only map custom fields from one module to the other our adoption would sky rocket.

Please consider custom field mapping from module to module so a value in one populates everywhere that field is used.

In many areas of the solution there are check boxes. The default state of these checkboxes is unchecked.

If there was a way for us to determine the default state of check boxes and drop downs that we cannot remove, that would be an excellent addition to your solution.

Seems it would be kind of a simple script to create that would search the Outlook inbox and sent folders for email addresses with matching entries in Zoho, and then synchronize those emails. Or even better, whenever an email is sent or received the synchronization is automatic and seamless.


We need this feature – we need to be able to see at a glance what emails the sales reps have sent out that day or that week. Very important. The Outlook plug-in has very little use for us without this capability. Please put this on the fast-track for the next version release.

2) In Leads View (Records) I realised that anyone can select the leads say 50 or 100 records at a time and copy paste it. So my wish list is that Copy & Paste option should be locked like it has with many other website (Not CRM) so it will give Zoho a Edge against competitors.

I notice that when I create a Task using a collection of Contacts that the Related To field is not included as a choice. This would be really useful as I could associate the selection of Contacts with a single Campaign for that Activity (or any other Related To item available in the Contacts section - Product etc.). It seems pointless to have to put tis information in the Description field of the Task(Activity), when a related field already exists in the database.


An 'All' option for records selected (rather than max 50 in the free version) would be useful - otherwise I have to generate my list of tasks at a max 50 at a time...


All in all, Zoho is easy to use & customise, and has a clean look to it.

Then I'd have the ability to print the letter right there. 2 features you do not have yet.

Allow users to see account owners (scrubbing accounts) on companies to determine what rep has that account in there territory but not allow them editable access. We just need to see if the account is already being worked on by another rep. If I have them as admin they can see all of them but can also edit. If in standard, can not see any other accounts. NOT GOOD. We actually only need to see ACCOUNT NAME and ACCOUNT OWNER. No other fields matters. We just do not want to add an account to a rep if another rep is working it so we can protect the territories.


A way to view the custom look up with a NEXT button so we can move on to the next account in that search. Example. I have created a lead source that says LAYOFFS. I can then see 20 accounts that have that criteria. I want to see #1 then click a NEXT to go to the next account in that search look up. Currently we have to click backspace then click on next account. Please see if you can add that.


I also heard that in 2-3 months you will have total web based e-mail with the CRM. The outlook plug in is ok but we are on the road and need it all web based send and receive.

It would be nice if you added CRM to the zoho mobile site. With iphone you have a nice mobile interface but adding the CRM would be great. CRM 's are very important to mobile workers and any easier way to access the zoho CRM would be great. YES we can go to the www on safari with iphone but still a small view and a mobile view would be better.

When adding templates related to potentials, can we please change the {potential.contact name} to allow splitting of the first name and last name? Right now it forces you to send emails as:


Dear John Doe,


This is never really done in normal communication so looks a bit weird for the recipient.


I guess something like {potential.contact first name} and {potential.contact last name}

I see a lot of interest on a self service portal, I would like to add that we have used Zoho crm API to form a self service portal which can serve the purpose that has been requested here.

The objective of the system is to enable Zoho CRM users to make a support portal on their website for their customers.

The features are

User addition with contact synchronization(admin)
Access to solutions
Case posts and views
Comment post to cases(under development)

The system is in private beta and we have planned to release it in a trial mode.I hope this would help in a great way and I would like to see your comments on this. We will hopefully release it within a week for public beta.

I'm currently using Zoho CRM to track service calls to my clients, but once I convert my potentials to a sales order then an Invoice, there's no way to export that invoice to Zoho Invoice!!! I then have to manually copy everything over? Is there an easier way to do this?

The ability to create relational pick lists would be great.

Example:

One pick list called: Business Category would have a one to many relationship to a second pick list called Business Subcategory.

In this example you could choose "Banking & Finance" from the Business Category and select from "Banks", "Accountants", "Investment Brokers" in the relational Business Subcategory pick list.

Tags for contact. I have 500 contact and would like to search them by tags: engineer, consultant, technical, etc.

Improve search: full text search for all field in the contact list. Right now it only search name, company, phone, email. It would make more sense to search the description field, say I would like to search for everyone who match a particular keyword in the description.

I'm about to move from FreeCRM to Zoho due to cleaner GUI, but this single issue in search is turning me off.

My query is about the Edit Page Layout. When i select the tab order (top to bottom). my text area only covers 3/4 of the screen across.


Is there a way so that the text area within the field can cover all of the area rather than just a portion of the cell.

@ Andrew: Yes, this can be done. When you create a new section under "edit page layout", select "Top to bottom" and then add the custom field that you have created to the section.

Yes, you can group the contacts by assigning category for each contact. You can add a custom field for contacts as "Category" and assign the values for each contact. Goto setup--->contact settings--->field list--->new custom field--->select pick list as type---->name it and add the category values.

Based on the category, you can create custom views or run reports.

This is an essential feature moving forward which is surprisingly missing: The ability to make a field required based on changes to another field.

Examples:

--Say the invoice status is changed from Mailed to "Paid"...a rule kicks in asking the check number field to be filled...only then the record can be saved.

--Similarly if the ticket status is changed to "Closed" a rule kicks in.

You get the picture, but this is very basic if you guys want to go to the next level.
