Why is STATE a TEXT BOX can we somehow make this a drop down of all 50 states to avoid data entry errors?

Hello,

It is a good idea to have a drop-down menu for State. Before enabling drop-down menu for State, we have to provide Country drop-down so that users can first select the Country and then State based on their Country.

Ex:

Country - USA, State can be AL, AK, AZ, CA, CO, etc.
Country - India, State can be AP, TN, KA, UP, MP etc.

We will definitely consider your suggestion in one of the future updates. In the meantime, please feel free to post your suggestions and comment about our service.

Hi,

Yes. You will be able to create and modify the fields in Zoho CRM. For example, you may goto Setup --> Lead Settings --> Fields List and create a new custom field and try to modify the created field.

The default fields cannot be edited or deleted. You may goto Setup --> Lead Settings --> Edit Page Layout and move the unwanted fields to the available list and create new custom fields from Setup --> Lead Settings --> Fields List.

2. how large can database grow (from scalability)?

1. Here is the number of custom fields that you can create for each field type for each module:

* Text Picklist Email Phone Textarea URL = 50 fields
* Integer = 15 fields
* Percent Currency = 15 fields
* Date = 10 fields
* DateTime = 10 fields
* Lookup = 10 fields
* Decimal = 10 fields

2. You can have any number of records and there will be no problem with the scalability. We have tested with million records with greater performance.

3. Could you please explain in detail about the off-line mode in Outlook and send the requirements to support (at) zohocrm (dot) com.

I would like to manage leads by Company, not by Last Name. For example, it seems that the only way I can search leads is by Last Name. Is there a way to change the default behaviour of the Lead data to trigger off of the Company?

You will be able to configure the default search that is used by Zoho CRM. Click on "Search Layout" and configure the search options that you need.
