When you using the search on the left navigation, your only options are to edit the file or delete it. Can it be set to be able to view it?

The search in the LEAD area does not seem to be working properly, it goes back to my task list.

Can you reformat the task list to include other views or change the current view to include other fields? I'd like to be able to know which task is for what client without having to click on it.

I have a problem with emails. I run my own exchange server and for years have not had any trouble. Now that I'm using zoho crm, I can't get emails from the zoho systems. It's as though it's trying to relay through my mail server (which is locked up tight for relaying). Anybody else have this trouble? Here is the error I get:

Sorry to know you have some issues with email functionality.

I got the following reply from my IT services:

"We do not relay through your mail server & mails for arfc.com are only sent to your mail server. Mails are rejected since sender address being irozen@arfc.com (which seems to be your domain).
As sender address is yours & our IP being source IP, your mail server consider this mail as SPAM & blocks the mails from Zoho IP. Once you trust Zoho mail server IPs this issue can be fixed."

1) Can you have Zoho generate incremental Purchase Order numbers for you, just like it does for Quotes etc ?

2) Is there any way to track quotes from Vendors. Part of the workflow should be receive-quotes --> issue purchase orders. Seems like a gap.

1. Yes. You may goto Setup --> Purchase Orders --> Field List and create a new custom field with "Auto Number" to generate incremental purchase order numbers.

2. Yes. You may add a new field in Quotes as a Lookup for Vendors and track the quotes from Vendors. Goto Setup --> Quote Settings --> Field List and add a new custom field with Lookup and select the Vendors from the drop down.

3. Yes you can increase the number of fields for your address.

4. You may send the sample to support at zohocrm dot com to analyze and provide a solution for it.

Once the email templates are created, you will be able to use the email template in the module that you have created for. For example, if you have created the email template for Leads module, you can select the leads from the leads tab and click on Send Mail button, which will be below the leads list and select the email template that you have created to send the template.

I wish to be able to use letter templates to easily print out documents to various contacts in the CRM. I do not see the capability to do so.

My interest is to (1) go into a contact, select "merge to letter" and then select a particular letter template with fields from different tables, have the pre-set fields populate from the selected contact, and then print. (2) Another scenario is to select a batch of contacts or accounts, probably using some kind of filter, and then identify the letter template to use, and then select merge to printer.

Hi,

I assign leads an "Industry" and "Strategy" tags through fields when i input the lead. When I convert the lead, I want the account and the potential to retain the industry and strategy tags. Right now, the account retains the industry tag but not the strategy and the potential doesn't retain either. I guess I want these fields to be standard from lead to account potential and I want the value to be retained through conversion. Any ideas?

Also, I'd like to be able to customize a view in "Accounts" based on status. Can I do that? The reason I would like to is because I'd like to manage existing customers somewhere and it makes the most sense to do it within accounts (potentials doesn't make much sense) but currently i can't filter by status.

You are prompted to enter list price, however in the related fields list there is no choice to select "list price" making it very cumbersome to find the list price of the product without have to add a custom field.

We haven't tried that in our setup. You can do that by giving the Zoho CRM page url for the iframe source ie., <iframe src='http://crm.zoho.com'. But, it will load our whole page in that iframe. Hope this helps.

It is difficult to use the leads list to call, then add information from the call.


If you use the list to scroll through, then you have to go back and forth with adding info to the description. It would be nice to have a next or previous in the leads edit move so you can move to the next lead rather then have to go back to the list and find out where you were in the list. It is very cumbersome.

Hi Rob,

You may create the same fields with tags "Industry" and "Strategy" in Accounts and Potentials and map them using "Map Custom Field" button that is provided in Setup --> Lead Settings --> Fields List. Once you have done this setting, automatically the leads that you convert will get mapped with the fields that you have provided.

In the Accounts tab, click on Create View link and provide the criteria that you want. With the help of the view that you create, you will be able to get the list of records based on the criteria that you have provided.

The reason why you get the insufficient previleges is that the tab is not available in your account. If you are the Administrator for your account, goto Setup --> Tab Settings --> Customize Tabs and bring the Purchase order and Sales order tabs to the selected list which will help you in resolving the message you get.

You may qualify the lead and convert them. Once you have converted the lead, the company information will be shown in the Accounts, contact information in Contact tab and the deal information in the Potential tab. Now, you will be able to have the company name as common in Accounts tab and have multiple contacts attached to the company from accounts tab.

Once you have logged in to your Zoho CRM account, goto Setup --> Data Administration Tools and you may Import the data to the CRM system easily and its totally free. If you want to bring the data from other CRM system, then use the link "Migrate Data from Other CRM". Exporting of data option is also available under the Data Administration Tools and you can avail the option. If you want a complete backup of your CRM account, click on Export All Data link and it will be charged $10 per instance.

Each time I log into Zoho, on my "home page" I see the ZOHO logo spread all accros the page not allowing me to see any fields etc..The screen looks all jumbled up and I can use it.. it did not happen the first time I use it.. The task sorting function is screwed up. I have about 200 tasks, and I like to sort them by a field I created - priority. The problem is that if I sort them by priority, I can only see the top 20 listings - when I try to go to the next page the sorting is erased and it simply shows me the next unsorted 20.

If I instead change the view to show 50 or 100 tasks on a page, and then try to sort by priority, it reverts to only 20 tasks. So basically it is impossible to sort by anything in the tasks!

I have CRM Professional, it has roles but no privacy/public option. As the highest Role, no one can see my notes. And there are many notes which I absolutely want lower-role people to see.

I could re-assign my role/properties so that others could my notes, but as a manager there are notes that must be private.

This goes with Tasks too. Some tasks of mine I want others to be able to view.

Bottom line is that it is important as a High-Role person (and an intermediate-role person as well) to have the option of clicking a check box to make the Note or Task public (viewable to others of a lower role).

Does Zoho currently have this option, and I am just not seeing it?

We have designed in such a way that you can also enter extra values to the subject field. If its a pick list, you won't have option to type extra info. For example, you will have "Call back" in the pick list and if you want to add time to the subject, it will not be possible if its a pick list value.

I am trying to configure the ZOHO system as a b2c set up, ie so that I do not need to create accounts each time. I simply need leads which I can then convert to clients. I need to use the 'Case Facility' as this is where I will manage their application details and progress of the case.


I have created a new case from the 'client page' and set up a new case. When I click the tab at top of page 'Cases' it shows there. But it does not show that a new case has been created in the 'client/contact page'. This has only happened since I have reconfigured to b2c set up where I do not need to open an accout each time.


Please advise how I fix this problem.
