Hello, I'm a Zoho CRM subscriber and have found the Zoho service and CRM system to be ideal for my business thus far.
I have paid for the Outlook plug-in which has been working perfectly and was easy to use to sync contacts.
However, i've recently moved office and have a new broadband supplier....and since this time i've been unable to use the 'Sync' facility, which I usually access via my outlook.
Do you have any suggestions as to what the problem may be and how I can rectify it?

As of now it is not possible to sync all the contacts. You can sync your own contacts of Zoho CRM. Kindly check the count of your contacts.

I have 14 users in my account. 4 were set up initially and the rest added a few months later. We recently added the Outlook plugin. All accounts have the Outlook option activated, however only the first 4 original accounts can actually sync their Calendar. If I log into CRM at a coworkers machine, using my login credentials, I can get it to sync, so I know it is an account issue. However, I cannot find anything in account setup that would affect this.

The error message occurs when I try to search the database for a contact to associate with the case and it reads "Error while parsing response from Zoho CRM" What do you think could be causing this error.

I downloaded the Outlook plug-in recently and have not been able to get it to work. When I attempt to access Properties, I get an error ("Run Time Error 13: Type mismatch"), then the resulting dialog box has no text next to the folders, pressing the folder icon does nothing, and pressing the Close button does nothing. I have to close the box with the X in the upper-right-hand corner.
Not being able to set any Properties makes the plug-in useless, since I cannot set my login, etc. I am using Outlook 2003 with Windows XP SP2.

I have 4,000 contacts in my contact database and would like to import 1,200 of them into ZOHO CRM.
I have 2 requests, without which I can't use ZOHO CRM.
1) Import only Categories
The import feature is totally unusable in the current form. I need to be able to restrict based on a category. I need to be able to say "online sync (and import for the first time) contacts with "xyz" category.
I noticed someone else asked for this. Do you have a schedule of when this will be available? This becomes particularly important for maintenance.
2) Sort on company or other fields in the import list
When I add an account I might add it in outlook. I need to be able to mark it or find it quickly in the import tool.
3) Another way to solve this would be to somehow tag an account as being one to important all the contacts from or tag contacts...Categories is one way but if you come up with another easier way that would be good as well.

Yes it valid point, Contact sync should be based on the category. It will take month or so to provide. And about your other case, we will analyze it for next releases.
For you information we release the new version of plugin. It will include to export feature. You can select particular contact/task/events and export to Zoho CRM. You can download it from http://crm.zoho.com login page.

Shouldn't you put an option for dept. mgrs to be able to sync all or some of their delegate's contacts/leads/tasks into outlook?
That will help enable mgmt of group activites and progress whilst travelling/being mobile.
Just a suggestion to help Zoho go one step further than salesforce...again!

Hi, just installed trial of ZohoCRM and downlaoded Outlook plugin. When I try to Syn I get a message saying that I need to defien the contacts folder in CRM Preferences. The contacts folder is already sepcified, teh account is active (using subscription manager). I am using Outlook 2007 with managed service exchange.
Any thoughts?

Have you gotten anywhere with MAC plugin compatibility for applications like Mail, ical etc.? With Iphone support and the announcement of mobile me cloud releasing next month this would make Zoho the sure choice for our company. Having an Iphone with Push syncing functionality compatible with a CRM is a no brainer for us. I know that you can email quotes through ZOHO but does ZOHO have its own mail client? Can my guys check their POP or IMAP accounts through ZOHO? A simple Google like mail client would be outstanding. Please let us know what our options might be with ZOHO!

Okay, I'm paying the premium price for this service, and I don't want a damn wiki blog. It looks like there are a lot of problems with coordinating MS OUtlook with Zoho. I've already loaded over 2,000 contacts to Zoho, but before I download the outlook coordination program, I would sure like to feel a lot more confident that this works seamlessly. The posts would tell me there are a lot of problems with this.
I don't feel confident with either your instructions (they pop up but you can't even read the entire instruction and you can't scroll) or your ability to create a seamless coordination between outlook and zoho. set my concerns to rest. email me at the address you have, or give me some comfort that you aren't going to completely screw up what I already have. Although I was able to upload my excel contacts with relative ease to zoho, all the problems I see with the outlook/zoho address book connection look like there are many potential problems. Your instructions are terrible, and all the questions you are receiving tell me there are many issues related to coordinating zoho and ms outlook addresses. what gives? I need some reassurance here.

1.Outlook may not closed properly previously. So before you login, please delete the logfile under the installation folder. The log file is under your <installationfolder>\data\<your zohocrm-id>\zohocrm.log After deleting the file, relogin again and try the same.

Sorry about that. Please check the following after installation.
1. For Outlook Version 2002. a. In Outlook go to Help --> About Microsoft Outlook. b. Click Disable Items and in that dialog check the ZohoCRM in disabled item. c. If it is disabled, select ZohoCRM and enable it.
2. For Outlook Version 2003 a. Go to Tools --> Options --> click Other tab b. In Advanced Options dialog click COM Add-Ins buttom locate at bottom the dialog. c. In COM Add-Ins dialog check for ZohoCRM. If it is not selected please select and click ok. It enables the ZohoCRM tool bar.
3. For Outlook Version 2007 a. Go to Tools --> Trust Center --> click Add-ins. b. Add-ins dialog check presence of ZohoCRM whether it is in Active Application or it is Inactive Application. c. If it is in Active Application no problem d. If it is in Inactive Application, then select COM Add-ins in manage combobox (bottom of the dialog box) and click Go. e. In COM Add-Ins window select ZohoCRM and click ok. It enables the ZohoCRM tool bar.

I installed the Zoho CRM plugin for Outlook 2007 w/Business Contact Manager. When I first ran the sync, everything looked like it worked fine. All of my contacts ended up in Zoho.
However, when I tried to sync again, it wanted to add 120 new contacts to both Outlook and Zoho, essentially duplicating these 120 contacts on both sides.
Why isn't it finding a match when comparing between Outlook and Zoho? Most of the names being duplicated are on the "Addition" list for both Outlook and Zoho.

I have been exploring and using both Project and CRM tools.
I initially installed Outlook plug in as the trial but did not get it to work as it was just part of my testing this was not part of workflow so i didnt chase this. However colleagues are now added as users and we plan to integrate CRM and Projects to production workflow.
So i install latest plug in, pay for upgrade to Professional, enable users and restart machine and outlook. Log in to CRM toolbar and ....
username or password not recognised. Tried multiple times, checked email and username used, checked password. typed them REAL carefully several times. Reset CRM password online and tried again... same message Username or password not recognised. I am using the correct password for Zoho online. it works for all other products.
But when trying to log into the plug in i get the same error.
OS is Vista Ultimate, browser firefox and Chrome (not all functions work in Chrome but its about 3 times faster when run as a Gears app) and i am using Outlook 2007.
Help please. i will update an online CRM and use tasks but unless calendar sync and tasks work in Outlook for my colleagues we will unsubscribe from a system we cant integrate for ALL the team.

Help please. i will update an online CRM and use tasks but unless calendar sync and tasks work in Outlook for my colleagues we will unsubscribe from a system we cant integrate for ALL the team.
I cannot sync anyting. Neither calendar nor contacts. Someone could help me?
