1. Can I add my personal contacts to the Zoho CRM Contacts module?

Ans: Yes, you can add your personal contacts. However, we strongly recommend you to include only the business contacts because users with “System Administrator” privilege can access your Contacts.

2. I sell my products/services to individuals. Can I use the Zoho CRM contacts module to track my sales?

Ans: Yes, you can track your sales using CRM contacts module. However, for sales to individuals, you have to personalize Zoho CRM for B2C (Business to Customers) process

3. How to synchronize my Microsoft Outlook address book with Zoho CRM contacts module?

Ans: To bring Outlook address book into Zoho CRM contacts, you have to download the outlook plugin from Setup > Personal Settings > Outlook Plug-in page. Then run the downloaded “ZohoCRM_Outlook_Plugin” exe file and install the plugin.

4. Can I associate one contact with multiple companies?

Ans: No. It is not possible. You can add a single contact mapping to not more than one company.

5. How can I view a map for my contact address?

Ans: To view the map, open any added contacts and click the Locate Map button in the Address Information section.

6. Is there any way to view the customer record? How does it work?

Ans: Yes, you can see the complete list of customer records in the Contacts page. The Layout contains all the fields in the Contacts' page; the Tasks (to dos); Events (Calendar); Business Opportunities; Emails; Documents; Products Purchased; and Trouble Tickets. Note, that the customer record is also called as 360-degree view.
  7. What are the various contact tools available to manage my Contacts?

Ans:
The various contact tools are:
Import My Contacts: You can import contacts from external file in xls, csv or vcf formats and with size not to exceed 5 MB. You can import the XLS, VCF, or CSV format files up to 1500 records. Beyond 1500 records, you can only use the CSV format files.
 
Mass Delete Contacts: You can delete a group of contacts using this tool. For example, you can delete the entire contacts for a particular company added in your Contacts.
 
Mass Update Contacts: You can update details to a group of contacts using this tool.

Mass Email Contacts: You can send a maximum of 250 mails to your organization including the users of your account.
 
Export Contacts: Just click on this link “Export Contacts” and you will get an excel file with all your contacts. You can save this file in your system.

Approve Contacts: Contacts created through Web/Import will not be included in the Contacts list directly. These contacts will be added to the list once the admin user approves the contacts.

8. Can I add my personal contacts to the Zoho CRM Contacts module?

Ans: Though you can add any contacts in your Zoho CRM account, you are strongly recommended to add only business contact because users with System Administrator privilege can access your contacts.

9. I sell my products/services to individuals. Can I use the Zoho CRM contacts module to track my sales?

Ans:
Yes, you can customize Zoho CRM for B2C business process.

10. How to synchronize my Microsoft Outlook address book with Zoho CRM contacts module?

Ans:
You can synchronize your Microsoft Outlook address book with Zoho CRM - Contacts using the Zoho CRM Outlook Edition. For more details, refer to Zoho CRM - Working with Outlook Edition chapter.

11. I have a contact that works for several companies but he/she has the one email address and phone number. How to associate contact with multiple companies?

Ans: Sorry, currently you cannot associate your contact with multiple companies. You can associate a contact with only one company.

12. How can I view a map for my contact address?

Ans: You can view a map for your contact address by clicking the Locate Map button in the Address Information section. Currently you can best view the contact address information in United States. For other countries there is a limited support.

13. Is there any way to view the customer record ? How does it work?

Customer record is nothing but a 360 degree view of a Contact's page. The Layout contains all the fields in the Contact's page; the Tasks (to dos); Events (Calendar); Business Opportunities; Emails; Documents; Products Purchased; Trouble Tickets. Zoho CRM reports are the detailed and informative list of records. Each report provides access to important data required for various purpose. You can directly access some of the standard reports pertaining to contacts from the Contact Reports section in the Contacts Home page.

Hello,

Vendors include companies, people, and contractors from which your company procures products and services. They can be either direct manufacturers or resellers. So if your "contact" is anyway related to the "vendor", then you can include the "vendor name(field)" which is an optional one.
